Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), developed by the psychologist Carl Rogers, is based on the belief that people have a natural capacity for growth when met with empathy, acceptance and understanding. Rather than directing or advising, this approach invites you to explore your experience in your own way and at your own pace.
I aim to offer a therapeutic relationship in which your experience feels genuinely heard and valued. Through this process, new perspectives and meaning can begin to emerge as we explore what feels most important to you.
PCT is non-pathologising in its approach. Should you wish to discuss a mental health diagnosis and its impact, this will be handled with care; however, I do not offer diagnoses or advice regarding medication.
Different approaches to therapy suit different people, so I encourage you to reflect on whether this way of working feels right for you. If you feel it may be of value, you are welcome to get in touch to arrange an initial conversation.
